Operativos nocturnos ha emprendido la Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente (Profepa) para detectar industrias contaminantes, por lo que pidió a la población interponer sus denuncias.

Bernabé Esquer Peraza, delegado de la Profepa en Baja California, indicó que algunas denuncias ciudadanas señalaban emisiones contaminantes por las noches, de manera clandestina, en zonas industriales, y por ello se decidió realizar estos operativos.

Hasta el momento se han llevado a cabo más de 200 inspecciones, dijo el funcionario, aunque no determinó el número de sanciones que se han aplicado.

"Lo que te puedo decir es que hemos clausurado industrias y tenemos procedimientos abiertos", dijo.

Esquer Peraza hizo un llamado a la población a denunciar anónimamente a aquellas empresas contaminantes al correo besquer@profepa.gob.mx.
